Frisco has grown up fast, and so have its families. A lot of the women I photograph moved here for the schools and the space, had their first baby somewhere else, and want this pregnancy documented properly. Not with a phone in a hallway, but with real light, a gown that fits, and someone telling them exactly how to stand.
That is what a session with me is. I'm Jenifer, and I've been photographing maternity and newborn portraits in the Dallas-Fort Worth area for over six years, from a private studio in Mesquite.
Getting here from Frisco
The studio sits just off I-635 in Mesquite. Most of my Frisco clients come down the Dallas North Tollway, or take SH-121 across to US-75 and drop south. It's a straight run, and I schedule Frisco sessions with extra buffer on either side so nobody is watching the clock in traffic. That matters most for the families driving down with a newborn for the first time.
Everything happens indoors, so the weather does not decide your date.
If you're delivering in Frisco
Newborn sessions photograph best between six and fourteen days old, while babies still curl and sleep deeply. That window is short, which is why I ask Frisco families to book during pregnancy rather than after, usually in the second or early third trimester.
Most of the Frisco babies I photograph are born at Medical City Frisco, Baylor Scott & White Frisco or Texas Health Frisco. Tell me where you're delivering and roughly when you're due, and I'll hold a provisional window rather than a fixed date. We lock it in once your baby actually arrives.
What's included
Access to the studio's couture maternity gown collection, so nothing needs to be bought or shipped. Professional hair and makeup as an optional add-on. Fully guided posing, which matters more than most people expect, because you do not need to know what to do with your hands. Every newborn wrap, outfit and prop is provided.
Partners, older children and grandparents are welcome in the session.
Frisco questions I get asked
How far in advance should I book from Frisco? For maternity, one to two months. For newborn, during pregnancy. The 6 to 14 day window fills quickly and I only take a limited number each month.
When in my pregnancy should we shoot? Between 26 and 34 weeks for most women. If you're carrying twins or measuring ahead, we go earlier.
Can we do maternity and newborn together? Yes, and most Frisco families do. Booking both at once is how you guarantee the newborn window is actually available when your baby arrives.
